High Efficiency Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS)
For over 30 years, vapor compression technology has dominated the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) market. These systems require a significant amount of energy to operate in addition to being a known contributor to global warming. Until recently there are few alternatives for managing required sensible and latent cooling. These existing alternatives are unable to scale capacity and are not a viable economical solution. New membrane based technologies have been developed and can reduce electrical energy consumption by using waste thermal energy and is refrigerant free. Phase Innovations, LLC is developing 1RTon to 5RTon DOAS systems that utilize our novel mass exchanger that can reduce HVAC related energy costs by as much as 90%.
